Applications are now being accepted for the Arts Entrepreneurship & Business Development course, offered by the Saskatchewan Arts Board in partnership with Creative Saskatchewan. The course assists Saskatchewan artists and arts entrepreneurs in developing sustainable careers or businesses in the province.



The course will be offered in four locations:

  • Yorkton 
    Apply by September 9, 2015 EXTENDED to September 15, 2015
  • Swift Current
    Apply by October 21, 2015
  • Saskatoon
    Apply by December 2, 2015
  • Regina
    Apply by February 3, 2016


The course fee is $200 and application forms are available above and at artsboard.sk.ca/aebdc


The course consists of three two-day workshops, plus personal coaching sessions. By the end, participants will have a career or business model, a long-term plan to enact it, and a peer-to-peer or business-to-business network.


Eligible Applicants

Saskatchewan artists and arts entrepreneurs who are Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada, Saskatchewan residents, as per the requirements of this course, with an established art practice or an identified business opportunity.

This is the fourth time the course has been offered. Filmmaker Luke Black took the Regina course in 2013. “The personalized coaching in the entrepreneur course prepared me to re-imagine my art as a sustainable career and gave me the courage to take my passion to the next level,” he says.
