Year in Review: 2014
2014 was a very busy year for us at Creative Saskatchewan. A new agency in the province of Saskatchewan, we began 2014 with a staff of two. In the spring, we filled all of our positions and are now in full swing with nine staff between two offices in Regina and Saskatoon.
In addition to administering our grant programs, we embarked on a variety of market development opportunities; each one a step along our path of bringing Saskatchewan to the world.
We brought a variety of Saskatchewan's creative producers to London, England; Bilbao, Spain; and, multiple locations in the United States. Each trip featured the breadth of talent and expertise by our artists in every category; from fine arts and craft to screen-based media and music.
For the first time ever, The Sound Stage was transformed into a theatre and a two-day film extravaganza which included screenings of Saskatchewan films WolfCop and Big Muddy; pre-school animations Doowett, Louis Says, and Space Stretch; and the world premiere of Corner Gas: The Movie.
A busy and exciting year, which included our one year anniversary! We are looking forward to many more exciting events and bringing Saskatchewan to the world in 2015.
