COVID-19 continues to have a profound impact on our economy and business community.
Creative entrepreneurs are no exception.
In consultation with creative sector stakeholders and industry associations, we are pleased to announce changes to our programs, intended to support creative entrepreneurs as they face the economic challenges of COVID-19.
NEW for ALL CREATIVE SECTORS
Micro-Marketing Stream: Market and Export Development Grant
OPENS June 8, 2020
This new stream, within the existing Market and Export Development Grant, will invest in small, targeted marketing projects, with funding capped at $5,000.
Applications will be scored against a published matrix.
Juries will not be required.
Creative entrepreneurs told us they need more efficient and more timely access to marketing support, particularly for small but sharply focussed and effective marketing projects.
Cashflow challenges created by COVID have magnified this need.
This stream is intended to remain in place after COVID situation ends.
Restrictions Removed:
A restriction that prevented applicants from including both an administration fee and in-house expenses in their project budget has been temporarily removed.
Instructional videos are now temporarily eligible for grant funding.
NEW for PUBLISHING
A restriction on the number of “reprint titles” eligible for the publishing production grant has been temporarily removed.
NEW for FILM & TV
Film & Television development grants will temporarily permit related-party transactions to be included in eligible expenses.
GRANT OPENING for LIVE PERFORMING ARTS
The Live Performing Arts Production Grant, previously On Hiatus due to COVID-19, will re-open June 8.
