Per Diem, Mileage, and Exchange information for funding creative projects
Per Diem
These new rates will be applied to applications received on or after August 9, 2024.
Applicants to Creative Saskatchewan grants may be eligible to claim a per diem.
Per diem recipients must be residents of Saskatchewan.
Partial day per diems are not calculated. A partial travel day may be claimed as a full travel day.
Applicants can determine the correct per diem rate to claim on their application by choosing the appropriate category of travel listed below:
Travel within Canada
$129.25 CAD – Full day per diem
Travel within USA and International
$129.25 paid in destination country’s currency, or CAD currency, whichever is greater – Full day per diem
Mileage
In some situations, applicants may be able to claim mileage as an eligible expense on their application for a Creative Saskatchewan grant.
In accordance with Article 15.3.3 of the PS/GE Collective Bargaining Agreement, the kilometre rate has been reviewed and adjusted effective April 1, 2024. The kilometre rates are as follows:
Ordinary – 54.96¢/km
North of 54th Parallel – 59.03¢/km
Accommodations
Accommodations are limited to $400 CAD per night per room, inclusive of all taxes.
If the rate exceeds the amount, only the excessive amount is disallowed.
Currency Conversion Requirements
Applicants are required to convert foreign currency to Canadian dollars for all correspondence with Creative Saskatchewan, using theBank of Canada’s Currency Converteraccording to the date of the expense period (under ‘date range’).
