Music Funds Fully Committed in Three Grant Programs

Saskatchewan's professional musicians have capitalized on Creative Saskatchewan's Market and Export Development Grant. Funds available through this grant program to support commercially-viable music projects have now been fully committed for the current fiscal year ending in March 2018.
More than $260,000 has now been committed to musicians through the Market and Export Development Grant this year. The grant supports publicity campaigns, the making of music videos, website improvements, and more.
Funds available to the music sector through the Business Capacity and Research Grants have also been fully committed for the current fiscal year. The investments made through these grant programs help musicians sharpen business skills through apprenticeship programs, business development conferences and other opportunities.
Please note: recent applicants to these three programs who have not yet received results can expect to hear from us in coming days.
While musicians can no longer apply to these three grants this year, limited funds do remain available to musicians through other Creative Saskatchewan grant programs, including: Tour Support Grant, Sound Recording Grant, and Market Travel Grant.
