Musicians Take Full Advantage of Sound Recording and Tour Support Grants

It's been a busy year for Saskatchewan musicians.

In the five months since April 1, 2017, we've helped our province's professional musicians build their careers by investing more than $295,000 in their sound recording projects and live tours.

The funds to make those career-building endeavours possible flowed through the Sound Recording Grant and the Tour Support Grant. The funds available this fiscal year to musicians through these two grant programs have now been fully committed.

Effective immediately, both of these grants are closed to music sector applicants for the remainder of the current fiscal year. Creative Saskatchewan's new fiscal year begins on April 1, 2018.

At this time, limited funds remain available to musicians through the Market Travel Grant, which supports showcase opportunities.

Congratulations to all musicians who successfully applied for tour and sound recording support this year!
