2018-19 Grant Programs Overview

Creative Saskatchewan is pleased to announce details of its 2018-19 suite of grant programs.
Grant Opening Dates Listed below are the dates grants will open to applicants. None of our grants open on the date of today's announcement, April 16.
Changes for 2018-19 We've noted the most significant changes that have been made to each grant program this fiscal year, including some new grant names. For complete details, click on the grant name.
Online Grant Management System (GMS) Several of our grants will now accept applications via our new Online Grant Management System. GMS compatible grants are identified below. Grants not active on GMS will continue accepting applications via e-mail.
Revised Investment Fund Guide We've revised our Investment Fund Guide (IFG) which contains important information that applies to ALL grants. If you notice long-standing guidelines missing from specific grants, they may have been moved to the IFG. A link to the IFG is available on every grant web page.

Book Publishing Production Grant

new name (formerly known as the Creative Industries Production Grant) with improved detail specific to the publishing sector
books published with costs covered by the author are no longer eligible
publishers must publish a minimum number of eligible books each year to apply
books with support from Canada Book Fund may be eligible for "fast-track" approval without jury adjudication
reprints no longer eligible
Business Capacity Grant

The Business Capacity Grant will be closed to Music sector applicants this fiscal year.
Craft & Visual Arts Production Grant

new name (formerly known as the Creative Industries Production Grant) with improved details specific to the craft & visual arts sector
applicants with sales agreements in place with 5 or more retailers/galleries may be eligible for "fast-track" approval, rather than waiting for a jury evaluation
up to 15% of the production budget can be earmarked for marketing activity, and can be supported by this grant
Feature Film Production Grant

new name (formerly known as the Screen-Based Media Production Grant) with improved details specific to feature film production
feature films must be a minimum of 75 minutes in length
up to 10% of the grant may be used to support eligible marketing activities
applications will only be accepted via GMS
Film and TV Development Grant

SLATE stream: Sept 4, 2018
PRE-DEVELOPMENT STREAM: closed this fiscal year
What's New
new name (formerly known as the Screen-Based Media Content Development Grant)
SLATE stream will open; it was closed last year
Slate stream will be juried this year; it had previously been processed by Creative Saskatchewan staff
PRE-DEVELOPMENT stream will not open this year

Interactive Digital Media Grant

Live Performing Arts Production Grant

Market Travel Grant
