Made-in-Sask Film Coming Soon to Local Theatres

Made-in-Saskatchewan feature length documentary nîpawistamâsowin: We Will Stand Up is capturing national attention.



The film has claimed Best Canadian Feature at HotDocs, and the Colin Low Award for Canadian Documentary at DOXA.


The film follows the aftermath of the shooting death of Colten Boushie, and is directed by Cree filmmaker Tasha Hubbard. The film is a co-production between the NFB and Downstream Documentary Productions, and was made possible with Creative Saskatchewan's Feature Film Production Grant.


Local audiences will soon have the opportunity to see it in the theatre.


The Saskatchewan premiere takes place in Saskatoon: Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 7 PM – 9 PM Roxy Theatre


The film plays in Regina one week later: Friday, May 31, 2019 at 7 PM – 9 PM Rainbow Theatre
