Saskatchewan Book Publishing Week
SaskBooks is excited to present Saskatchewan Book Publishing Week 2017, proudly supported by Creative Saskatchewan.
October 2 to 6, SaskBooks will celebrate all across Saskatchewan.
In addition to school visits, everyone is invited to special readings at public libraries.
You’ll have a chance to meet great Saskatchewan authors, and purchase impressive Saskatchewan-published books.
Here's the schedule of events:
John M. Cuelenaere Library, Prince Albert, 7:00 P.M.
A presentation from The Photographer’s Guide to Saskatchewan by Robin and Arlene Karpan of Parkland Publishing, and a reading from A Map in My Blood by Carla Braidek (Thistledown Press)
Alex Robertson Library, La Ronge, 12:00 P.M.
A presentation from The Photographer’s Guide to Saskatchewan by Robin and Arlene Karpan of Parkland Publishing, and a reading from A Map in My Blood by Carla Braidek (Thistledown Press), this library lunch also offers attendees a free lunch.
Batoche National Historic Site Theatre, 7:00 P.M.
A free theatrical performance of The Betrayal by Laurier Gareau, presented in partnership with Théâtre Oskana.
Eatonia Community Hall, 1:00 P.M.
A reading and presentation by Mary Harelkin-Bishop (DriverWorks Ink) and Eatonia’s own William Wardill (Speargrass Specialties).
Swift Current Branch Library, 7:00 P.M. University of Regina Press
Trevor Herriot (Towards a Prairie Atonement) and Kathleen Carlisle (Fiery Joe).
Assiniboia Public Library, 12:00 P.M.
Catherine Milos presents Through Dragon Eyes, and is joined by Courtney Bates-Hardy, author of Sea Foam (JackPine Press). Free lunch for all attendees!
Ogema Public Library, 2:00 P.M.
Catherine Milos and Courtney Bates-Hardy continue their tour with a stop in Ogema.
Weyburn Public Library, 7:00 P.M.
The final event of Saskatchewan Book Publishing Week, the stop at the Weyburn Public Library has Catherine Milos and Courtney Bates-Hardy conclude things.
All of these events are free to attend.
