Saskatoon Millinery Going Dutch

Saskatoon's Sova Millinery Designs is working towards expanding operations by opening a hat shop in The Netherlands.

Their recent Market and Export Development Grant has helped them get much closer to that goal.

Sherri Hrycay, Sova owner, used her grant to help cover costs of attending the Pierre & Pierre Millinery Designer Hats of 2018 Show and Sale event in Den Haag, Netherlands.

At the event, Hrycay made several remarkable connections including Arnaud Viard, French actor director, producer and writer who most recently starred with Diane Lane and Alec Baldwin in "Paris Can Wait." Viard purchased two hats, agreed to wear and promote them and consider them for future movie productions.

Hrycay also met with prominent business people, fashion designers, and organizers of a high profile hat show in Munich, Germany which she hopes to take part in this September.
