Saskatoon rock trio tours Canada with Theory of a Deadman

Updated: Jun 11

Saskatoon’s W3APONS kicked off 2020 with a two-month, cross-country tour opening for Theory of a Deadman. As the band worked their way from west to east, W3APONS sold three times the merch they had expected and watched their single “She Was The One” climb to #23 on the Canadian Active Rock Charts.

The trio - Tallus Scott, Myk Ulan-Hohol, and Jordan Welbourne – knew their sound would be a great match for Theory of a Deadman’s fan base and they’re excited to keep building on the successful road trip.

“W3APONS touring with Theory of a Deadman was a perfect musical combination - which was completely evident by the audience's receptions of the band across the country. The band now has national attention from every major centre in the country, after performing to a total estimate of over 25,000 people - which will set the band up perfectly for their upcoming releases and future tour dates.” - W3APONS (Scott, Ulan-Hohol, Welbourne)

After securing a Creative Saskatchewan Tour Support Grant, the tour began in Vancouver in January and travelled east, for a total of twenty-one performances. W3APONS increased their fan base, connected with their existing fans, sold merchandise, and promoted their new single nationally.

W3APONS’ opening performances garnered positive reviews across Canada from Edmonton Journal, Rock Source Magazine, and The Heavy Press.
