Shepherd’s Call hits bookstores in 2020
Updated: May 4, 2020
Regina authors Angie Counios and David Gane are set to release their greatly anticipated fourth book in the Shepherd & Wolfe mystery series in early 2020. With the series taking place in Saskatchewan, many of the books’ locations are either real-life streets and landmarks, or amalgamated versions of a number of Saskatchewan locales. Though the familiar feel of the books appeals to local readers, David describes the stories as “pretty universal: people trying to do their best in difficult situations”. The series boasts readers and sales as far as the United States, Norway, Tanzania, and England.

Creative Saskatchewan has invested in Along Comes a Wolfe, Shepherd’s Watch, Wolfe in Shepherd’s Clothing, and Shepherd’s Call through the Book Publishing Production Grant.
“Their [Creative Saskatchewan’s] continued support has allowed us to grow our readership and produce these beautiful products that have competed with and held up well against books from top publishing houses in North America, something we are incredibly proud of. Writing is a complicated journey and it’s really nice that we have the help of Creative Saskatchewan to keep building momentum.” –David Gane, co-author of Shepherd’s Call
Shepherd’s Call will be available for purchase through McNally Robinson, Indigo, Coles, Amazon, Apple, Kobo, and the Counios and Gane website: www.couniosandgane.com.
