The Dead South Hit 100 Million
Updated: May 4, 2020
It’s a banner month for The Dead South, a four-piece bluegrass band from Regina and recipient of several Creative Saskatchewan investments to help propel the band's growing commercial success.

Their video for “In Hell I’ll Be In Good Company” crossed the 100 million view mark on YouTube. The video was made possible with an investment from Creative Saskatchewan's Market and Export Development Grant.
The group’s upcoming London, UK show just sold out (2300 tickets), as have multiple other UK and European dates.

The band just returned home from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, with a new album in hand. This record, their third full-length and first since 2016, will be released by their new label, highly regarded Toronto independent Six Shooter Records.
2019 is shaping up to be a year of even bigger milestones. The band is confirmed to join Trampled By Turtles and Deer Tick at Red Rocks on July 24, 2019. There are already nearly 20,000 tickets sold for 2019 UK and EU tour dates.
The Dead South have built a fervent worldwide fanbase and sold nearly 100,000 records through grassroots discovery and support.
THE STATS: 90,000 albums sold worldwide (Illusion & Doubt and Good Company). 55 million Spotify Streams. 466,000 YouTube channel subscribers. 225,000 Facebook fans. 20,000 tickets pre-sold for upcoming UK/EU tours.
