Update to Film & TV Development Grant Intake Schedule

New Dates Added: Film & TV Development Grant – First & Final Draft Streams

The Film and Television Development Grant assists qualified Saskatchewan production companies with undertaking the development of eligible projects and bringing productions to fruition.

In order to better accommodate film industry timelines this year, Creative Saskatchewan is offering a second, earlier intake for Final drafts of development projects.

This is only open for projects intending to go to production in the 2024-25 fiscal year (between now and March 31, 2025). The production schedule must be submitted in the application.

Intake Dates

*NEW* Intake 1: Final drafts of development projects only

• Opens: May 15, 2024
• Deadline to apply: June 5, 2024
• Results issued: On or before July 17, 2024

Intake 2: First & Final drafts of development projects only

• Opens: July 15, 2024
• Deadline to apply: October 7, 2024
• Results issued: Within 8 weeks from deadline date.

Slate stream:

• Opens: August 12, 2024
• Deadline to apply: November 7, 2024
• Results issued: Within 8 weeks from deadline date.
