The Saskatoon production was a huge success, filling the house at Persephone Theatre and earning praise as Saskatchewan’s most exciting and engaging new theatre piece.
“Our marketing for this production’s digital results exceeded expectations,” said Landon Walliser, Director and Producer of the show. Their marketing campaign generated a 428% increase in site visits and a 283% rise in Facebook followers, and the numbers only went up as momentum grew.
That energy extended beyond sales. The production brought in 11 local partners who purchased advertising in their program, reflecting strong buy-in from Saskatoon businesses. Every audience member also experienced their lobby programming, which included a photo wall, themed merch booth, and interactive activities that turned the theatre into an extension of the show’s slumber party atmosphere.
The production was featured on local radio shows and received a SATA (Saskatoon and Area Theatre Awards) nomination for Best Touring Production or Presentation. Post-Production demand also led to the company moving ahead with official publication of the annotated script and a release event at McNally Robinson in Saskatoon in recent months. Saskatoon proved “Annetteis a Bimbo!” is both artistically vibrant and commercially viable, with even more national growth ahead.
