The SaskTel Max Equity Fund provides financial support to eligible Saskatchewan-based independent producers.
Creative Saskatchewan may invest in eligible projects that demonstrate significant economic, cultural, and employment benefit to the Saskatchewan industry, and a high potential of recoupment and profit in the application.
Creative Saskatchewan administers this fund on behalf of SaskTel.

All deadlines close at 4:00 PM Saskatchewan time. If a deadline falls on a statutory holiday or a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4:00 PM the following business day.
Application processing time: It is anticipated that notifications will begin 10 to 12 weeks following the application deadline.
Results will be delivered via e-mail and will be available in GMS
The fund is a competitive fund that may provide equity investment in support of eligible productions to a maximum of 20% of the approved cash budget.
Please note that in 2023-24, this program had an approval rate of 40% (four out of 10 applications were approved).
Applicants must have experience as producers of film, video, or digital delivery productions, co-own the project, receive producer credits, and be incorporated or registered pursuant to an Act to conduct business in Saskatchewan.
Applicants must demonstrate at the time of application that a minimum of 50% of all third-party production financing is contracted, and all necessary insurance and performance bonds are in place.
The project must be made available in a meaningful way to target Canadian audiences within two years of completion on any platform including a Canadian broadcaster or subscription video on demand.

Please note that if ineligible expenses (outlined in the Guidelines above) exceed 50% of the project budget, the application will be deemed ineligible.
Activities that receive funding from SK Arts or SaskCulture are not eligible for support through Creative Saskatchewan investment programs.
