Book Publishing Production Grant - Market Demand Reprint Stream
The Market Demand Reprint Stream of the Book Publishing Production Grant assists book publishers and self-publishers in accessing high-demand reprint production funds to meet market demand.
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Book Publishers’ Stream OR the Author-Funded Stream to qualify for this stream.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate current, timely market demand for the title that warrants immediate reprint. This may include but is not limited to:
- Recent orders
- Sales reporting
- Significant award nominations
- Significant media recognition
Deadlines & Processing Time
- Opening date: June 17, 2026
- Deadline 1: September 2, 2026
- Deadline 2: January 27, 2027
All deadlines close at 4:00 PM Saskatchewan time. If a deadline falls on a statutory holiday or a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4:00 PM the following business day.
Application processing time: Applicants can expect to receive results approximately 4-6 weeks from the deadline date.
Results will be delivered via e-mail and will be available in GMS
Our Investment
- Projects will be funded up to a maximum of 50% of the approved project budget. No application may receive more than $5,000 per fiscal year from this stream. This funding is calculated as part of a publishers’ total Creative Saskatchewan Marketing funding cap of $25,000 for the fiscal year.
If you still need to finance the remaining 50%+ of your project budget that Creative Saskatchewan does not cover, some options include:

Market Demand Reprint Stream Guidelines
- The official guidelines supersede all information contained elsewhere on this website, delivered to applicants by Program Advisors, or otherwise made publicly available.
Please note that if ineligible expenses (outlined in the Guidelines above) exceed 50% of the project budget, the application will be deemed ineligible.
Activities that receive funding from SK Arts or SaskCulture are not eligible for support through Creative Saskatchewan investment programs.

- Book a consultation with a Program Advisor if you need any support or have a draft ready for review
- Make any necessary edits and conduct a final proof
- Submit your final application

What’s new for 2026?

What happens after I’m approved?
- 80% of your grant is paid when the application is approved. The remaining 20% of your grant is paid after the project is complete and your final report has been approved.

When can I expect payment?
There are three stages to our payment process. The stage in which your application is in will determine the approximate date of your payment:
Step 1: Invoice Submission & Coding
- Estimated timeframe: within 1 week of receipt
Step 2: Approval Process
- Estimated timeframe: 1-5 business days (varies based on approvers’ availability)
Step 3: Payment Processing
- Estimated timeframe: 3-5 business days after approval
