GRANT OVERVIEW

You’ve played some local gigs and built a local fan base. Now you’re ready to take your show on the road. This grant is aimed at musicians, bands and theatre troupes who are ready to perform for new audiences. Around the province, across the country or overseas, the Tour Support Grant helps musicians and other performers generate revenue and build careers.

ELIGIBILTY UPDATES

In response to COVID-19, please note the following eligibility updates:

  • applicants must observe international, provincial, territorial, and regional travel restrictions

  • applications seeking support for live-streamed performance tours may apply to the Market & Export Development grant

DEADLINE INFORMATION

Music Sector:

August 16, 2021 at 4pm

October 1, 2021 at 4pm

November 15, 2021 at 4pm

January 3, 2021 at 4pm

Live Performing Arts Sector:

November 15, 2021 at 4pm

If a deadline falls on a statutory holiday or a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm the following business day.

OUR INVESTMENT

Applicants may apply for a maximum of $15,000 or 50% of the total eligible cash budget whichever is the lesser.

Applicants are eligible for a maximum of two Tour Support Grants per year.

2 INVESTMENT STREAMS

Music

  • supports music tours of at least six live public performances, in multiple cities with limited breaks, with performance fees being collected

Live Performing Arts

  • supports a tour including a minimum of three live performances for contracted fees or a percentage of ticket sales

  • performances must take place in either multiple cities or multiple venues

AFTER YOU'RE APPROVED


  • When you're approved, 80% of the funds you've been awarded will be delivered when you sign the letter of agreement.
  • The remaining 20% of the funds are delivered after the project is complete, and we've approved your final report.
  • You'll be required to keep your program officer up to date with any changes you might need to make to your project.
  • You'll be required to acknowledge Creative Saskatchewan's support. Here's how.

As explained in the General Program Guidelines your application will be assessed by specific criteria in three categories

  • Relevance
  • Impact
  • Experience & Capacity

Listed beside each criteria is the maximum number of points available as each application is scored. Applicants may wish to pay particular attention to criteria with the highest number of points available.




APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME


Applicants can expect to receive results within 10 weeks from deadline date.
Results will be delivered via e-mail, and will be available in GMS.
