You’ve played some local gigs and built a local fan base. Now you’re ready to take your show on the road. This grant is aimed at musicians, bands and theatre troupes who are ready to perform for new audiences. Around the province, across the country or overseas, the Tour Support Grant helps musicians and other performers generate revenue and build careers.

applications seeking support for live-streamed performance tours may apply to the Market & Export Development grant

If a deadline falls on a statutory holiday or a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm the following business day.
Applicants may apply for a maximum of $15,000 or 50% of the total eligible cash budget whichever is the lesser.
Applicants are eligible for a maximum of two Tour Support Grants per year.
2 INVESTMENT STREAMS
supports music tours of at least six live public performances, in multiple cities with limited breaks, with performance fees being collected
Live Performing Arts
supports a tour including a minimum of 3 tour venue bookings
performances must take place in either multiple cities or multiple venues
WHAT HAPPENS IF A TOUR IS POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19?
If the tour is in less than six months, you can simply ask for a final report extension. If the tour is rescheduled and is over six months away, applicants can report on the expenses incurred to date and can re-apply to the Tour Support Grant at a later date (program guidelines can change, so please ensure you and the activity for which you are applying are eligible for funding).

AFTER YOU'RE APPROVED
When you're approved, 80% of the funds you've been awarded will be delivered when you sign the letter of agreement.
The remaining 20% of the funds are delivered after the project is complete, and we've approved your final report.
You'll be required to keep your program officer up to date with any changes you might need to make to your project.

APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME
Applicants can expect to receive results within 10 weeks from deadline date.
Results will be delivered via e-mail, and will be available in GMS.
